IntuiPlate is a personal food accountability and wellness tracking app. This policy explains what information is involved when you use IntuiPlate and how it is handled. An account is required to use the app so your data syncs securely across devices.
IntuiPlate stores your food entries, body metrics (weight, body fat, sleep), daily scores, and goal settings in a secure cloud database. This data is associated with your account and is used solely to provide the app's features to you. We do not use your personal health or food data for marketing, advertising, or any purpose other than delivering the app's functionality.
IntuiPlate uses Sign in with Apple for authentication. We receive a unique identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address from Apple. Your email address is used solely for account identification and support. We do not use it for marketing purposes. Authentication is handled by Supabase, a cloud database and authentication platform. Supabase's privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.
IntuiPlate stores weight, body fat percentage, and sleep duration that you enter manually or that is synced from Apple Health (IntuiPlate Pro feature). This data is stored securely in your account and is used solely to display your trends and progress within the app. We do not share, sell, or transmit your health data to any third party except as described below.
If you grant permission, IntuiPlate reads weight, body fat percentage, and sleep data from Apple Health on your device. This data is read locally and stored in your IntuiPlate account. We do not write data back to Apple Health. You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access.
IntuiPlate may request access to your camera and photo library for the AI food scan feature. Photos taken or selected for food scanning are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to analyze the food and suggest scoring values. Photos are not stored by us after processing. Anthropic processes images according to their own privacy policy, available at anthropic.com/privacy. Images are transmitted securely via HTTPS.
When you use the AI food scan feature, your food photo is sent to Anthropic's Claude API. When weekly AI insights are generated, a summary of your food scoring data (aggregated numbers only — not food names or personal details) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API. This data is used solely to produce the requested output and is not stored by us after processing.
IntuiPlate Pro subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple — we never receive, store, or have access to your credit card number or payment details. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier to track whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
IntuiPlate does not collect your phone number or precise location. We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs. We do not display advertising of any kind.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. The only external data transmission occurs during AI features (as described above), cloud storage via Supabase, and subscription verification through RevenueCat.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the address below. You can also delete your account directly from within the app via Settings → Delete Account. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. Uninstalling the app does not delete your account data.
IntuiPlate is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect when the most recent changes were made. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
